We are an independent online gaming information and entertainment platform, dedicated to giving Pakistani players the knowledge, tools and guidance they need to make informed decisions — responsibly and confidently.
988wen was founded with a straightforward purpose: to give online gaming enthusiasts across Pakistan access to honest, well-researched and clearly written information about sports betting, casino games and responsible gambling practices. In a market where noise often outweighs substance, we chose a different approach — one built on transparency and player education first.
Pakistan has a rich and passionate sporting culture. From the energy of PSL T20 nights in Karachi and Lahore, to ICC tournament cricket watched by families across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and Peshawar — sport is woven into everyday life here. It was only natural that online sports betting and casino gaming would follow that passion. Yet for years, Pakistani players lacked a reliable, locally-focused English-language resource to guide them.
The 988wen platform was built to cover every aspect of the online gaming journey: how welcome offers actually work, what wagering requirements mean in PKR terms, how to interpret decimal odds on a Pakistan vs New Zealand T20 match, which payment methods Pakistani players find familiar (like Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, and transfers through HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank or Bank Alfalah), and crucially — how to recognise the signs of problem gambling and where to seek help.
We do not operate a casino or sportsbook ourselves. 988wen is an information and entertainment platform. Every article, guide, glossary entry and responsible gambling resource on this site exists to inform — not to pressure, mislead or make promises that no platform can honestly keep.
Cricket odds, football markets, PSL match previews, ICC tournament betting formats, UFC fight night analysis — all explained in plain English with Pakistani context.
Slot RTP explanations, live dealer game mechanics, table game strategies and a full betting glossary to help you understand every term you encounter.
Deposit limits, self-exclusion tools, session reminders, self-assessment questionnaires and links to recognised support organisations — because player wellbeing is never optional.
Practical guides on how deposits and withdrawals typically work for Pakistani players, covering familiar payment rails in an honest, no-hype format.
Our mission is to be Pakistan's most trusted online gaming information resource — transparent, responsible and built for real players, not algorithms.
We measure our success not by how many users click an offer, but by how many leave our platform better informed, safer and more confident about the choices they make.
Six principles that shape everything we publish and every decision we make at 988wen.
All content is written in natural professional English — the language most Pakistani gaming enthusiasts search in. We add genuine local flavor where it matters: PSL cricket references, PKR currency examples, familiar city names from Karachi to Peshawar and payment methods Pakistani players already know.
We do not fabricate bonus terms, invent license numbers or make guarantees about winnings. Every piece of information on 988wen is presented with appropriate context and caveats. If something is illustrative, we say so. If something cannot be verified, we do not publish it.
Responsible gambling information is not buried in our footer — it is embedded across every relevant section of the platform. From deposit limit guidance to self-exclusion explanations, we treat player wellbeing as a first-class topic, not an afterthought.
Most Pakistani users browse on mobile data connections. 988wen is built with lightweight, fast-loading pages that work well on Android and iOS devices without requiring a separate app download. The experience should be smooth whether you are in a Lahore café or commuting in Islamabad.
We collect only what is necessary to deliver this platform and never sell personal data to third parties. Our Privacy Policy is written in plain English — not buried in legal jargon — so you always know exactly how your information is handled.
Our support team is reachable in English 24/7, with Urdu-language assistance available during selected hours. Whether you have a question about our content, a responsible gambling concern or a platform issue, a real response is never far away.
These five values are not marketing language — they are the principles that the 988wen team returns to when making every content, design and business decision. They reflect what we believe a responsible gaming information platform should stand for in the Pakistani market.
The online gaming industry can be loud, full of hyperbole and short on substance. We have chosen the harder path: slower growth, more careful content and a genuine commitment to the players who trust us with their time and attention.
We present facts and realistic expectations. No guaranteed wins, no inflated bonus claims, no fake urgency. If a promotion has a 35x wagering requirement, we will tell you — in PKR terms — what that means.
Before engagement, before revenue, before growth — the safety and wellbeing of the players who use our platform always comes first. Adults 18+ only, with clear local law context for Pakistan.
Generic gambling guides do not serve Pakistani users well. We write for the player in Karachi checking PSL odds, the cricket fan in Rawalpindi comparing live betting platforms and the Lahore user navigating payment options on their phone.
Our content is not shaped by operator commercial arrangements. We describe products and platforms based on what we independently observe and verify — not on what we are paid to promote.
The online gaming landscape changes constantly. We update our guides, responsible gambling resources and platform information regularly to ensure accuracy and relevance for Pakistani players.
From the bustling markets of Karachi to the historic streets of Peshawar, from Islamabad's tech-savvy professionals to Faisalabad's hardworking entrepreneurs — 988wen is designed to be relevant and useful to online gaming enthusiasts across the entire country. We understand that a player in Multan may have different connectivity conditions than one in Lahore, which is why we have prioritised fast, lightweight page delivery.
Pakistan's sporting culture — particularly the national passion for cricket — naturally feeds into interest in sports betting. The PSL season, ICC tournaments, the unpredictable drama of T20 cricket at home and abroad: these are the events our users care about, and we write about them with the same passion our readers bring to following them.
Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 places legal restrictions on gambling activity within the country. 988wen does not claim that online gaming is legal, licensed or approved by the Government of Pakistan, the PTA, the State Bank of Pakistan or any Pakistani authority. We do not provide legal advice.
Every player is personally responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable in their own jurisdiction. If you are uncertain about your legal position, we strongly recommend consulting a qualified legal professional before participating in any form of online gambling.
We also remind all users: gambling involves real financial risk. It should be approached as entertainment, not as a means to generate income or recover financial losses. If gambling is affecting your daily life, finances or relationships, please visit our Responsible Gambling page immediately.
We reference familiar Pakistani payment methods — including Easypaisa, JazzCash, Raast, HBL, UBL, Meezan Bank and Bank Alfalah — purely as examples of payment infrastructure that many Pakistani users already know and use in their daily financial lives. This is educational context only.
988wen does not claim that any of these providers endorse, support, facilitate or permit gambling-related transactions. Whether a given payment method is actually available for deposits or withdrawals at a specific gaming operator depends entirely on that operator's cashier, the payment provider's own terms and conditions, applicable compliance rules and Pakistani law. Players must always verify supported methods directly with the operator before attempting any transaction.
